Niigata project: Target group

As we were discussing in the meeting, for demographic target group, I’ll suggest 2 options.
1st choice: Australia and New Zeland and USA (similarity is English speaking. So advertisement etc can be same one for them)
2nd choice: Korea

Top 5 Tourists from Asia Pacific to Japan
Korea (76% sightseeing, 18% business)
Taiwan (91% sightseeing, 7% business)
China (37% sightseeing, 23% business)
Hong Kong (92% sightseeing, 7% business)
Australia (72% sightseeing, 18% business)

Top 5 Tourists to Niigata (in 2005)
Taiwan (266% YoY)
United States (124.4% YoY)
China (108.9% YoY)
Korea (94.9% YoY)
Russia (123.1% YoY)

p.s. China is not priority. Because even Chinese tourist number increasing, their purpose of tourism is to see big cities, technological development and maybe culture (but in big famous places)

Please briefly explain the reasoning behind the creation of the SIMS online. What new capabilities and features is EA trying to leverage by launching the SIMS online? (maximum 1 page)

Reasons

· Expectation from consumers is very high
· Game industry has high competition to keep leading position in the market
· Because of short “Game lifetime” it needs next stage
· Have successful online game experience (3)
· To increase income

New Capabilities and Features

· 600 independent web sites created by SIMS players
· SIMS had most successful predecessor history
· EA.com (13mln visitors per month, 42% share, 70 min per day)
· AOL games channel
· Monthly subscription fee
· Multiple types of communication (email, instant message, newsletter etc.,)
· Personalized content import from predecessor (from SIMS to TSO)
· Virtual Advertisement
· Beta version success (WoW)
· “Game time” card- Monthly subscription fee can be sold through retail outlet
· Bring more new people to PC game world

Presentation for Principle of Management

Slogan

I like the Slogan "Niigata Discover Your Spirit"

It has been used before like "Discover Your Zen" used in Kyoto.

I like using words like " sea to sky"

Every tourist video should have a story just like every city or place.

Spirit is a neutral word that fits well with a transportation theme.

Niigata Project

I have read professor sugai's brand management content in the e-marketing course folder. He wants us to focus on "Undiscover Niigata" theme in our project. Its like compaign of Malaysia Tourism Board with a Slogan "Malaysia Truly Asia". You most probably have seen the "Malaysia Truly Asia" vedio advertisement in the CNN. Therefore, we need two things for this project:

1. A slogan for Niigata like "Malaysia Truly Asia" and focus on this slogan in our project
2. Creating a something like "Malaysia Truly Asia" video if possible.

So every body should start from now for a suitable slogan. If anybody among us, is expert in video editing, please let us know. We also need a good video recording man.
